Tubed Rock Protection

So I'm searching for some better Protection for my truck a 2006 Tahoe Z-71. I've knocked off a couple of the step bars. Wanting to make a change, but seems like the options are not very good for the ol' Tahoe. I'm not super crafty but luckily I have friends who are. Looking for recommendations or thoughts on this purchasable rock sliders or ideas for custom fab.
