My Tahoe has been slow to respond to the throttle in turns and curves for a while. Recently I turned off traction control on a friend's bumpy gravel driveway because I was fighting that problem just going straight. Note that no lights flashed telling me it was active. It drove much better. No wheel spin because I was driving it. I left it off and realized it was better everywhere.
Hmm. It doesn't flash the traction control light when enabled unless I break traction noticeably yet still seems to resist accelerating in many conditions. Disabled I'm not having any trouble not spinning.
My tires are all worn evenly and pressures match. Can a failing wheel speed sensor be causing problems but not setting codes or flashing lights?
