Adam, Oreilly auto parts has that bolt for around the same 5 to 6 bucks and you can get it without the wait. its in their "help" section. Thats where i got mine! Try em before you go thru summit, they can get alot more parts and aftermarket parts than alot of ppl think, plus their prices are competitive.

Yeah I know your feeling. Thats why I hate autozone, those kids are IDIOTS!!! They dont know what the heck they are selling. I know for a fact that Oreilly personnel get training and have to stay current, even the drivers, in case they ever have to help a customer, I used to work for 'em. Goodluck!!!

Checkers/Schucks/Kragen and Oreilly are all under the same umbrella ...

In fact the local Checkers here in Kingman just changed into Oreilly, says Oreilly on the receipt but still says Checkers on the outside.

i dont know if the spline count is the same. ill have to talk to Tony the vendor, hes good at this crap lol Ill probably have to move spring perches and crap like that. but id rather weld then try and attempt to rebuild the 10bolt. Too much measurements with backlash and all kinds of crap

You can get custom axles ... Don't those (Trailblazers) have coils under the butt of them?? The 454SS has 5x5 14 bolts under them with leaf springs. Not sure of the spacing ...

Backlash and all that isn't hard, I rebuilt the rear end of my Tahoe on my back, with the truck on jackstands, in my garage with nothing more precise then a micrometer over a long weekend. (It was also snowing and I walked uphill both ways LOL)

TBSS have coils correct, 454ss 14bolt is leafs. 454ss 14bolts are INSANELY hard to find. harder to find then TBSS rearends. soo thats out of the questions. I can get the TBSS axles welded and drilled to a 5x5 no problem there.

like i said in the other thread...different bolt pattern, narrower axle (would have to run spacers to get the right track width, and a few other differences)

wouldnt be worth the hassle, especially after you have to strip all the brackets off the axle and put spring perches, and shock tabs on to match your truck

Yea i hear ya. Was just searching more around here, still nothing really around here worth buying. Hmm... Car-part is showing a few 2500 14bolts with 6lug. but that have assload of miles on them.

Question real quick on the side. I shouldn't worry about the 14bolt being too low with a 5/7drop and running 16s should i? lol shit

how close is your pumpkin to the frame/floor now? it is quite a bit bigger, as well as bigger axle tubes, etc..

I would honestly just get a tru-trac in your 10 bolt..there are plenty of people running lots of power on that set up and its fine..unless your going to be over 500-600 rwhp, which you wouldnt touch that unless you are going LS swap with the charger, and even then your still 450-500 rwhp..I cant remember what your set up is going to be

So been thinking about this more and then someone on PT.net said the TBSS have an offset rearend.....

Rebuilding the 10bolt, the hell with that shit.. lol

410s or stick with the 373s? i dont do much highway driving. I only put around 500miles on this thing a year, so gas mileage isnt tooo big of a concern..

what size tires are you going to be running? What is your motor and trans set up planned?

id say 4.10s at least...you do have fairly small tires so that should be about good..

I think you will find almost ALL Chevy rear ends are offset ...

I've got 3.90s in my rear end with 31x10.5s and love the setup.

if you dont do much highway, and only drive 500 miles a year, you could even go with some 4.30s...that thing would scream if you had around a 29-30" tire, 4.30 would be good..if smaller, 4.10 would do the trick

No idea yet on the tires, i need to make sure first that theyll tuck in the wells going over bumps and shit. I think right now its around 29-30 inch. Theres no gap between the fenders and tires and when i took a quick tapemeasure to it, the fenders said 30 after the lowering kit was on.

Motor is just a stock rebuilt 350 with boltons and that whipple. Trans was rebuilt with the motor and has a shiftkit. Not tooo concerned if any of those break. I was looking on Summit and couldnt find anything between 410s and 456s??
I was looking and Richmond gear, since summit doesnt sell Yukon gears. But if ineed to get it out of summit ill do it.
