Took The Oil Pan Off Again

This may be confirmation that the Mobile One and Restore are not doing a good job for this engine. My metals were high when I used to run regular Mobile One and dropped quite a bit once the engine was switched over to ACDelco and Quaker State oil.

I think both of my latest samples for the 5.3 and 6.2 were posted on "Useless Information" in late March or early April of this year. I can post them here if you like for comparison.

so I guess my question is when does cleaning the inside of your engine from varnash go from worth it to not worth it?


would say running something like a half qt if this stuff in every oil change from brand new extend the life or shorten it over just normal normal at 5k?

Since it's incredibly difficult for most normals to find Valvoline Premium Blue Restore,
and I'm having a very tough time finding it for under $80 a gallon,
kinda forced to stick with Valvoline Restore & Protect til I find the latter for less.
