07 5.3 LTZ - 200k miles. dod/afm turned off (hp tuners) as well as the back o2 sensors. just added a quarter of oil yesterday, and my girl tells me to come look at this when i started it. never had it do it before. just changed the solenoid for the EVAP that's in the engine bay. P0449 code is why i changed it. figured it couldn't hurt.

This is what I fixed earlier:

only other codes are: P0036 x2 (Heater Control Circuit Sensor 2) & P0054 (HO2S Heater Resistance Sensor 2)

it's running rough. i dunno what to do with it.

here's some oil on the ground after startup & a pic of inside the exhaust directly after

This is how it sits now.

4wd. LTZ. 3" level. 33's/17's (interco's m16's 50k on them, give or take - which i love) - trucks gave me absolutely no trouble, until now. i do regular maintenance on it. changing the plugs/wires tomorrow, or the next day. only things i've got left to change. just changed the coil packs the other day.
Some changes it's been through....looking for a set of 18" black/chrome mavericks, because the 20x12's were WAY too wide on a level

To be clear, P0449 is related to the VENT valve near the rear of the truck, and won't have any bearing on how the engine runs.

On the other hand, if the PURGE solenoid (on the engine) is malfunctioning, that can cause the engine to run rough (rich) by allowing fuel vapors into the intake when not intended.

i changed the one in the front of the truck yesterday, and i'm about to go change the rear one now. it def needs it, as you can smell the fuel.

Has it had the Technical Service Bulletin -TSB- for oil consumption done?

it has NOT had this done, and i didn't know anything about it. take it to GM & tell 'em to fix it?

may as well take that "standard" motor part and throw it in the garbage can. If it has not failed yet it will in short order, junk parts brand
just my opinion

had to get what they had. it was the last one, too!

well, it ended up being the rear evap canister+solenoid. which was a real mf to replace, especially being it had to be done w/ me on my back lol. the connector coming from off the actual canister was a huge PITA to get off. it was (ofc) all OEM and had been there since 07 lol

when you do those plugs inspect to see if any are oil wet, that might point you somewhere.

i exercise my 5th amendment. you can **** off to your car and do whatever it is you're going to do. fisherman do the catching. plus, i spend a lot of my time reading the law library, as you never know what you're going to find that might help you out one day. some of the shit i've seen in there the police try and use is disgusting.

Santa Muerte is known to them as the patron saint of drug traffickers, although it's not just drug traffickers who believe in her...there's so many wild cases. sickening. you can "play" with kids, but don't you dare get caught with ANY drugs!!!
our system is absolutely ******!

seen a guy get sentenced to 60 months probation for PWIMD CSAM <13 via a plea deal, while the guy up next behind him got 70-93 months for 4 personal use grams of opiates. sickening.

and if there are any oil in them, what them?
Note the location, then check for valve cover leaking, or if need be pull the valve cover and inspect further. this generation are not really known for having leaking valve guide seals but anything is possible I suppose
