Gees what a gearbox. It's almost worth buying one would the transmission ever die. You guys in America have something for everything! If my transmission ever dies, I will just buy a new one from there, let it only be a 1 series haha. Already busy reading your thread, audio wise it's different also from a Tahoe... not at your supercharger yet haha

And will be cheaper also. I had rebulit mine locally in EU and it cost me same as rebuilt from company as Rocket Man wrote.

BTW. The interior work is very nice :happy107:

I can imagine. The market is so big in America that the prices are very good. And the dollar is low atm compared to the Euro so that's great for us.

Thanks. Still happy with the interior, all though the carpet is not the strongest, especially on the parts where it's been getting used. And can't vacuum it to hard. But otherwise still going strong.

Yes someday I hope that I can create something like @Rocket Man , a nice blower on it. If my trans ever dies I will buy a better one anyway, and start from there haha. But then this can not be my daily anymore because of the fuel mileage. But that is a project where we talk about years until something like that would be possible for me.

EDIT: first up is new spark wires, LPG delete, tires and new MOT end of april, tune, Airaid MIT, Flowmaster flow FX muffler and somehow find a e-fan somewhere sometime. And then go from there :)

Ask you tuner then if you want blower in future, if he retune you for free.

Sparks, oil, filters...etc. is basic to good start.

Tires you want bigger or stick with 245/265?

You guys convinced me to go with BBP Autocal V3 + tune. And they have some nice supercharger kits. Local tuner is known for installing that stuff, just not on Chevy's. And when you read @Rocket Man his thread, you see how dedicated the BBP is and how much experience they have.

Sparks already done, not the wires. Last oil change was 1 year ago. Then changed also trans fluid, rear diff fluid and gasket, some things for the MOT.

If you read a few pages back, I finally found a set Titan wheels 18x8 25et. This will really stand out and I'm going for goodyear tires 275/65/18. But considering blasting and powdercoating them so they will last for ever. As they are from 2007 but rarely used, 1 is already starting corroding from the inside. American rims are crap.

BTW. Oil change is on the agenda also.

Titan is Nissan--not American.

Today I washed my Tahoe probably since 2019, I pre-washed the car a several times in between and that was it. Really a shame for someone who is carcleaner/detailer as profession. :banplease:

But today, the weather was above freezing point and took the change to go to a wash box. Did pre-wash the whole car including the underside, also because of the salt the threw down last weeks because of freezing. Then did a proper handwash afterwards, and it really needed it!! Still waiting for a good place to detail my Hoe, but that will come in the upcoming months. Never speak without pictures, next to my new home :):)

Was to lazy to dry but washed it with osmose water. But now we've a reference of how it looks and how it will look after a proper detail session.

Looks like that driveway wasn’t built for a big ol American SUV! Looks good Tonny!
Hahaha nope, and this is a house from the early 60s, and it's rental and I've waited 4,5 years to finally get a house. But what I really wanted was space next to my house for a car, so I'm so happy with my new home. (This is a 4 under one hood house we would say, and I've the corner). Secondly, the parking space will be made larger after this summer, taking 1/3 of the frontyard and let them put in pavers?! if that is the right word, so smaller stones which handle weight better. Thanks mate :)

We call that type of a building a fourplex here. Congratulations on finding a good home for yourself and the Hoe. I see most people there drive real small cars and park on the street huh?

How is that fake chrome working? I've ordered a mini sandblaster for my compressor. Can I blast the chrome bumper and mirrors and then respray them?

Not the plastic pieces. The steel you could sandblast. I have had my plastic chromed grill sanded heavy, sprayed with adhesion promoter and painted. It takes a lot of time to sand something intricate like that. For your mirror caps, you can buy paintable ones- it’s not worth trying to paint the chromed plastic ones.

Thanks man! Haha yes on the picture you see cars that a lot of people drive, or Aygo's, Citroen C1, VW Up. But it's not that I'm living in a rich neighborhood but so I kinda got the largest car in the Street apart from someone with a ugly Ford Transit 2H2L. But also got some fellow Americans riding in Lemmer (my city/village), Dodge Rams, few Silverados, some older Vans. But I'm the only one with a Hoe :D But the average size car is a lot smaller then America yes, I think a BMW 3 series for example is kinda average. Rich people drive Merc G500's, ML's, BMW X5 or 5 series GT etc....

Anyhow, our car sizes are a lot smaller, lots of VAG German, French, and Japannees. Because we work with a tax system that let's you pay for the weight of the car. If I would drive my Chevy private as a SUV with all the chairs in it, I would pay €150,- for taxes only each month. Because mine is build my work car, I pay €50,- taxes per month. Compared to you guys still a lot. My cousin in America says he pays around 100 dollars a ''year'' for his 2008 Suburban.....

Cool thanks for the advice. Well sometimes my OCD has to go somewhere, so I will put such energie in things like that. I've a saying: If I do it, I do it good or I don't do it a all!

Just another thought on this. For me it is not possible to buy mirror caps in EU and from the US is to expensive, so then the same treatment as the front fake chrome grill on the mirror caps? And for the back, that looks more like real chrome ha? So I can sandblast the back piece?

Thanks in advance.
