A TB spacer will work for you in some regard maybe add a very small amount of HP/TQ if your engine is a not a vortec, Pre 96. With the vortec 5.7L engine 1996 - 2000, your only difference will be the whine from the TB, and possibly even a loss in power.

umm well i cant vouch for better mpgs, (i have a leaddddd foot) but its alot quicker now and there's tons of advantages of them. ovcourse going with 500 dollar fans isn't a plus, but maybe those mark 8 fans or LS1 fans could help you out tho!

Get a Miata!!

No really, good tune up, properly inflated tires, dead on front end alignment, proper brake tension, proper wheel bearing preload ... there are lots of lil things you can do but at the end of the day you are driving around a 4 door heavy truck.

Very true but safety and comfort come way before 30mpgs.

And atomichoe, what year models should i look at for the fans?

Help you take in and exhale air.

No need to romp around town and drive excessively. Most cars G spot is 55 mph.

Also upgrade your ignition. MSD COIL etc etc

tap it all off with a BB tune.

Its not going to be cheap. Think you'll own/drive your Hoe long enough to to get it all back in MPG?

E-fans DONE right are harder then you think...I'm not one for half assing shit. Your custome bracket should made the fans and radiator as one for mass air flow...etc etc

talking bout the TB spacer I bought it before I found this lovely website. Hate to piss away 90 bucks...so I made extra provisions to keep it when I installed my Cai.

LISTEN UP...I promise you that the TB Spacer is not worthless. I got a 97 with the vortec and it helps out with low end torque and some added hp. That much is for sure. Took it off and tried it without for a week and didnt like the old feel. Whoever the hell told you guys that you might lose hp by adding a spacer is on crack:Boo:. Just isnt true. Any added hp and gas mileage gain I can get I will take. As for me the spacer is good. But I have heard that sometimes using them will make the distributor retire early.
