Surprise G80?

I was changing out the diff fluid on my 05 and there was a G80 diff installed, which was not on the build sheet. I guess that is a good thing. I havent really tested it. Does this diff come in other RPOs as a packaged item, or did the previous owner add it?

Just curious, I'm no mechanic, but how can you tell it's a G80 just by looking with the cover off? The little spider gears inside?

I had the cover off and it had the spinning barrel that triggers the lever which locks in the other axle.

google chrome is the browser. works way beter then IE, then of course most anything is better then IE lol
