I tapped the blue/gray sub wire on the factory amp for a line-out to my LC2i RCA converter.... no need for an remote wire, as it is signal driven. Ran my power directly from the battery (600w isn't really a draw). A JL 10TW3 w/600w is plenty of thump for me.

Sorry for the long delay in response, but thanks for posting this.
Is the blue/gray sub wire that you reference Pin 1 on T3/X1 (page 11-498) on the wiring schematic?
And you only used the one pin and not also Pin 5?
If so, how then did you hook up the LC2i on the inputs (highlighted in yellow below)?
