I want to put a 2008 steering wheel with controls on my 2001 I have a Z-3 head unit can / will it mount up, and also will / can I get the controls to work?

will it mount tho? and if so would it look ok? mine is ten years old with a lot of Highway miles so long peirods of time with hands on the wheel. also is ther no way to splice the wires to make it work?

Given that GMT900s are GMLAN and GMT800s from 2003-2006 are Class II data bus, I doubt there is a way to splice it.

will not work at all.. you can maybe get away with updating it to a 2003 and up steering wheel with controls, but there is some work involved....

I was looking into this... I believe you can get it to work on an aftermarket radio using the 07+ clock spring and wire it up yourself. However I do not believe the airbag plugs are the same.

I've changed my mind on that setup and am either going to run a 03+ base model wheel or get a half leather/wood 01 wheel or a billet wheel.

What about in my '03 Yukon? Anybody know which steering wheel I can run in this?
