Did the looseness and vibration begin at the same time?

Loose lug nuts, severely worn hub, severely worn ball joint(s), worn tie rod(s) or separated belt in tire can cause both.

Broken sway bar end link, worn control arm bushings, worn shocks and worn steering bushing(s) can cause looseness.

Wheel out of balance can cause vibration.

I just had my 2006 Yukon XL Denali in because of the drifting. The shop told me I needed to replace my pitman arm and idler arm. I still have to make the appointment.

Vibes all the time?

At and/or above certain speeds?

After hitting a bump?

What are the specifics of your ride- 2WD or 4WD/AWD, 1500 or 2500...?

Lowered?

Lifted?

@iamdub has given you a great list of possibilities that need inspected. Do you have the know how and capability to check them?

The vibes at higher speeds sounds like wheel balance, like maybe a weight or two has come off but that should not give a loose front end feel.

A 2WD 1500 would have rack-and-pinion steering, so no idler or pitman arms. Have you jacked up the front to perform any preliminary checks?
I haven’t checked anything yet
