Yes park for sureAssuming you are in park ? If you are not in park or neutral the starter will not crank as there is a neutral safety mechanism.

I’ll give it a shot, used to do that on my square bodyOne thing to try is get a hammer and tap on the starter not to hard then try to start it. Back in the day when a starter was going bad wrapping on it with a hammers it would get it to start, if it starts then the starter is bad,. It happens.
No warranty on this, bought it used. I’m not super versed on using one but I have a buddy who is.Bad starter relay ? Maybe pull the relay and test it with a multimeter ?
Apply the following to the Terminals
86 - 12V battery
85 - Ground
Test for resistance between terminal 87 and 30
Also, do you still have any warranty left ?
No rodents, no corrosion on the cables, it’s a pretty decent click but perhaps could just be the relayWhile you were changing the oil, did you have the radio on, anything to pull the battery down? I know you said it checked out, but just curious.
The clicking you are hearing, is it the starter solenoid clicking, or just a faint click of a relay?
Do you have any signs of rodents, like leaves or acorns?
I've had starters go bad in the driveway . No hints whatsoever of it going bad then out of nowhere I was very lucky to have it happen at the house.
What do the battery terminals look like? Any corrosion that could hinder current flow?
Definitely underneath.. it’s raining like crazy right now but I will try the whack test as soon as it stopsWhere is the click sound coming from ? Under the vehicle, if so, it's the starter solenoid that's mounted on the starter itself.
If/when that solenoid clicks that can point to a couple of problems
- Poor ground or power - check battery terminals and make sure they are tight
- Bad starter - try the whack test as suggested above
