i have a 04 tahoe z71 i lose power steering intermittent from time to time mainly when you sit still and turn I’ve changed out the steering box (used) tire rod ends, inner and outer (new) put aftermarket tubular control arms. running 37 13 1/2 wide 9 inch lift. my upper ball joints were at a crazy angle and I snapped one one day and ever since then I’ve been having nothing but problems with the front end shaking I get it big tires you’ll grab the road, but this is like a different kind of grab. It’s hard to explain. I changed out the steering twice.

Power steering pump maybe? Has that been replaced? At the minimum a PS fluid flush and bleed. Inspect the old fluid for any sludge or metal particles.

Nice cateye mod BTW!

My 99 uses to do this for whatever reason I could rev it up a lil bit and it would work again I never did find the solution to it. As far as the ball joints go I’d crank your keys down some and get them at a better angle and what brand control arms did you get? My buddy has the same Tahoe with a rc stretched to 9” and runs 22x12s on 37s and hasn’t had any issues out of his at all
