That actually looks really good ... just be mindful of not leaving them on too long cause first they will melt the tape and eventually the plastic.

Much hotter than HIDs and halogens ... that's why LED projector modules have massive heatsinks to dissipate heat and prevent thermal runaway, and why decent LED bulbs also have relatively huge heatsinks which are not needed with either halogen or HID bulbs.

definitely need a picture far off at night with the other lights and no glare...but I like it. Looks good. How long you think that double sided tape will hold up?

Thanks.

I have been using 3M double sided tape for many things on exterior, and has held up very well for yrs. Clean surface, good to go. But it can be removed fairly easily when u want it to come off. And not mess up surfaces. Great stuff, when screws, nuts & bolts or harsh adhesives aren't ideal.

Thanks soulsea.

Not too worried about heat issues with these small LEDs and the 3M tape. Used the same 3M on my LED arrow lights inside my side view mirrors for probably over 2yrs now. Heat, cold, rain, water, snow ect.. Kept on for hours at a time, with zero issues. And 3M tape still strong.

Not at all doubting you. The size and scale you referring to, as far as high heat goes, more house hold size LED bulbs which use heat sinks, larger scale, multiple close n inclosed, High Power LEDs ect?.. I know LEDs produce heat, and yes they can get very hot. Never been a factor with the smaller 5mm-10mm(guessing here there size) and like, LEDs I've used for auto. Heat is an LED killer tho.

Again, not doubting or saying wrong. I know you know your lighting and info. So not trying to come off rude, apologize if it is, not intentions.

But always willing to learn more. So any info you got, would love to read n know.

LEDs definitely produce heat.

I have a Seoul P7 in a retrofitted Maglite. The LED is mounted on a large heatsink base and I used thermal grease so that the heat transfer from the led into the body of the maglite.

Just to be clear, never said they didn't produce heat. Nature of how they work. Just saying, the size I'm using isn't going to produce enough heat to melt anything. Just from my experience.
Really not teying to say what's right or wrong here. I like to know stuff lkke everyone else- and like hearing others info.

I couldn't get a pic without glare for the life of me. Even markers glared. Tried to adjust settings. Probably doesn't help I'm using my cell phones camera and been :drink_nl:. . Try again when I can use a real camera.

#1, your truck looks sooo good. I am envisioning creating your doppelganger. I have an 01 Denali (black). I am going to do the HD hood and the SS bumper too (looks too good not too).
My question for you is about the SS bumper, did you just do the bumper cover (part# 12335659, w/air ducts and bumper grill) or do/did you have to replace the whole bumper assembly (under the cover to the frame)?

Boozer, I guess that question can be for you also...

Thanks. They do look awesome at night. Been trying for years to add some lights to front end, but have always turned out looking akward. These came out great, and really set off the front end IMO at night. Can't see them during day unfortunately, too dam bright outside, lol.

To AJLynch, I have the Street Scene SS cover. Goes over original chrome bumper.
