Glad you guys are getting spares in. Kind of like when you buy a new snow shovel or snow blower, you really expect or want to use it, then it does not snow for 5-7 years!

Just did a test of my new module. (I didn't disconnect the battery.) It started and ran fine! Swapped back the original module and I too have the CEL on. I guess I have to do the drive and shut down then restart to clear it.

UPDATE - CEL is off.

On a side note, the little red secure tab/pin that is removed from the connector to disconnect the module, cracked. Can these little red pieces be replaced and if so where can they be obtained?

Thanks!!!
More likely, you'll have to source the entire connector with that red tab.

ETA: I think this is it - Part # 13574909

Thank you for the response. I suspect that you are correct. Possibly there is another connector with the exact red tab that GM uses on a less expensive connector? I guess knowing that is nearly impossible, unless you worked at a GM parts warehouse and could casually compare connectors?

For now, its secure with a broken tab holding it. I may try a plastic zip tie through the hole and see if that works.

Thanks again!

DocDoug, you might be able to find a red locking tab on a connector under the hood that would be less prone to needing the red locking tab, even something you would maybe need to remove when changing the air filter? Then you could figure out if there is a 2-4 pin connector or that you could get from a scrap yard or on ebay just for the locking tab.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

Just got my second one from Summit Racing. Can confirm that 13554821 is still the latest iteration. Also, Summit raised the price on these from $35.99 to $44.99 a few weeks after I ordered mine.

Being prepared, priceless.

Next is the transmission park override cable like I put on my truck.

Just finding this thread.. I am pretty confident my FSCM is bad though I am struggling to even FIND the dang thing to test it. I have an 08 Yukon XL 2500. I have checked behind/above the spare tire.. only a 2nd fuel tank, no control module. I checked under the driver seat along the frame rail.. don't see it. I checked in the fuse box and I do have fuses for Fuel pump and FSCM locations with nothing for relays which leads me to believe I SHOULD have the FSCM.

Symptoms according to google of a failing FSCM are:
Poor fuel economy (I have been getting 9-10mpg with the 6.0 no towing and mixed town/highway)
Possible engine surge (at stop lights rpm would flutter 1-200 rpm)
excessive engine heat (again at stop lights or extended idle with 100% brand new cooling system engine temps creep above 210)

I was at 1/4 tank of fuel and other than the above symptoms everything was starting normal and otherwise driving fine. Went and put a full tank of fuel in (of course it happens when full) and now I have a full blown crank/no start situation.

Where would I find this control module?

I have never looked at 2008 for the FPCM, however, based on the YouTube link below, it appears that is below the drivers side passenger door on the inner frame rail in front of the ABS controller. Seems somewhat hidden or tucked up above a cross member?

Also note if the module has the small double sided arrow with a wrench iton the right upper corner of the label it will need to be programmed unlike the newer models. See the below YouTube link around 22 seconds.

It may be possible if you purchase a used module, it may not need programming, not sure about this. Unclear what the programming for this module does. If it need to be VIN matched, then it will need to be programmed to the vehicle.

It might be that the same module fits different models and it is just model programming, but if this is the case you will need a module from the like model.

When I go to order from Summit racing and put in my year/make/model, it shows me part number 13565641 for $72.99. Now when I search the Summit site for just the part number that works for you all 13554821, it shows it for $33.99
Will either one work? My vehicle is a 2025 Yukon XL, which has a larger fuel tank than a Yukon. Does that matter? Can I just get the cheaper module?

So the 4821 module had been the most up to date part number as I last understood. But since you have a 2025 model, I would hit a number of the GM parts sites online and verify for sure there have been no changes for 2025. I just plugged in a 2025 Yukon XL Denali in gmpartsonline.net and it indicated if did not fit the 2025. Many sites will accept the VIN as well, so I would probably seach a few sites to see what comes up.

If you find the 2025 has a different part number, please update what you have found. Fuel tank size should not make a difference for the control module, it could and used to make a difference for the in tank fuel pump on older models.

It may be possible the 4821 module has been updated again as well?

You might want to crawl under the truck and find out what module part number is on your truck as well just in case some of the GM parts catalogs have not been updated for the 2025 models yet.

Sounds like the one ending in 4821 may have been superseded or compatible with MY25+ only.

All the previous ones up to it were the following: 13537053, 13544060, 13544950, and 13545846.

I've seen where a new model year won't have 100% of the parts ready for order online. It is like the bill of material isn't fully available.

According to EPC, Electronic Parts Catalog, the part # for 2025 is 13560984. It looks to be a new part and there is no parts history for it. I don't think the others will work in its place.

Sometimes parts get superseded because improvements are made - but sometimes not.
Nearly always, when a part number gets 'updated', it is seen as an opportunity to increase the price,
whether or not any improvements were realized.

I have a neighbor that will be taking delivery of a very recent build 2025 Yukon Denali XL next week, I will try to check the module part number on his and see if the connector looks similar. It was in transit from the TX assembly plant last week.

I would be VERY careful with part numbers/application from a place like Summit Racing because we have no idea where they get their data from and how up to date it may be.

If there is a new part number for the 2025 models, it may be a totally different module, or it may be a new design or vendor based on past problems and maybe the superceded part number trail has no caught up yet?

This will be interesting to see what change(s) may have happened with the 2025 models as they start to get into members hands.

Update, I just got under a very new build of a 2025 Yukon (2/2025) and the FPCM part number is in fact 13560984 as jerry455 had listed above. What I do not know is if the 13554821 module has been superceded by the 13560984 and if they are interchangable.

Seems that the 13560984 show up around $60 on some of the GM parts sites.

We may need to wait and see if the GM parts catalog is updated to show if the 13560984 supercedes the 13554821 module.

The module location on the 2025 Yukon is the same as prior years, in general the module and connector looks pretty much the same, however, I did not disconnect the connector and inspect or compare the connector in detail.

Eric O just posted a '21 Suburban with this problem, cured using the 13554821 part number. Later in the video he figures out how to remove the bracket from the frame, spec'd to use an eTorx bit.

@Antonm

Here is a Royalty Auto Service video covering the diagnosis and replacement of the fuel pump driver module.

It is a good video overall.

However at 21:00 you can see this module is indeed plug and play.

If this module needed reprogramming (or that different years or models needed programming) this shop would have put that information in the video.

I posted this information in this thread but is a hopefully helpful response to your comments in this other thread:
