Fuel Module Failure

Our 2022 Denali sputtered and shut down yesterday just as I pulled into a parking spot. Thought it was the end of the motor but after getting a tow to the local GMC Dealer it turned out to be the fuel module. We were down in Miami visiting our Son and the Dealer was well aware and had plenty of fuel modules on-hand. The Mechanic told me his Father's Sierra had the same issue and that the newer fuel modules are much better. Let's hope that is true. We were in and out the same day. On Star set me up with a tow (no charge) and everything was under warranty at the Dealer, Lorenso GMC in Doral. A potential bad day turned out not so bad.

The fuel module replacement is quick and easy. One of the very few things that can be done on side of road.

I keep 2 spares in my truck, one for me and one for the other truck on the side of the road I see stranded!

Less then a 10 minute swap on the side of the road with a few wire ties to keep the module supported until you have the time and tools to properly mount the module on the bracket.

If these things are build like the HVAC 3 phase VFC to units, it's more about when not if they fail!
