so it started as a joke.

now im really thinking about it. I was chit chating with a friend and we started thinking about this. Has anyone ever put a T-56 6 speed in a tahoe? I can get my hands one one for about 1g and it should handle about 600 horses. What do you all think. Should i do it?

Ive never seen one with a manual, But it would be sick!!!! I wonder if the clutch disk would be up to pushing that much weight?

I've been dreaming of putting a manual in my Denali...like a short shifter...real tight shifts...close together...god that'd be so bad ass...

I say if you can get your hands on the equipment, go for it....not many have done stuff like this before

Not to thread jack, but I have a T56 for sale right now with a low mile clutch. $1200 plus shipping, the tranny only has 73k miles on it and comes with a WS6store short stick and brand new slave cylinder and flywheel

PM me if your interested, its out of my brothers V8 swapped 94 S10, hes in a bad spot right now and needs some extra cash.

All that you would have to do though is get a clutch pedal from a truck and master cylinder and cut a hole in the floor. They are the same length as a 4l60e so you wouldn't even have to mess with a drive shaft.
