Small speakers on either side of center console

When I had my center console apart on my 01 Yukon Denali, I noticed there were two small (3.5-4"?) speakers in there. I haven't seen these mentioned anywhere. Are they wired to the radio, or for something else?

Lotsa tweeters in the front of that thing lol. A pillar, door panel, center console. AAAALLLLLL the highs!!!
