silver birch metallic picture thread

don't know if there is any picture threads dedicated to certain colors but I wanted to start one for silver birch metallic because I just recently picked one up and wanted to get some ideas and see what everyone else was doing to theirs.

Here is mine, pretty much stock.

Come spring time I will be colormatching most everything and converting to the HD front end. Here is a "photoshop" to show what I'm going for eventually. Not sure on the wheels, definitely that style, but might go machined instead of black, and probably not the dark lights.

I have a 2006 xl Denali in silver birch. I like it because it’s an easy color to keep clean.

I am using the HD grill, and the inserts will be black, center bar and shell will be colormatched though. Was just a quick and dirty photoshop.

i wasnt thrilled when i bought it, but the color has grown on me. In spring I will need to update. Ive changed a bunch. Roof rack is gone. Painted esky appliques, and running lights are all led now.

Here's my '02 SLT shorty. Owned it for about 8 years and 66K miles. Just now starting to mess around with mods and whatnot. So far have done Denali Depo headlights, HID kit, LED backup lights, and aftermarket stereo and speakers.

When my wife brought it home (she bought it with her Dad and I wasn't there) I was pissed as I grew up being told not to ever own a domestic vehicle with over 100K on it. She bought it with 132K on it but it was clean as a whistle. We paid $8K for it. I've since fell in love with it in addition to learning that the 5.3 motor is a beast and a properly maintained GM will last practically forever. I plan on driving it until the wheels literally fall off. It's reliable, powerful, comfortable, safe, and most importantly looks absolutely bad-ass.

I agree, silver birch was not even on my color choice list. Lol. But the two colors I had picked out were nowhere to be found. And when I found my Denali, it was everything I wanted except color. So I was like “ehh color is whatever, it’s not great but it’s not terrible” now that I’ve had it for three years it’s grown on me quite a bit. It’s easy to keep clean, and color matching stuff to it is easy and not as expensive as some other colors..... haha.

when I was searching I was looking for either black, white, or red with gray interior. for a tahoe/yukon in my area $5000 would get you something with 150k+. when I found mine, it has 110k miles and was only $2500 so I had to take. the money I saved helped me get over the color

Looks good 400K but not silver birch. They only used silver birch on this body style from 04-06.

My first choice of color was bermuda blue metallic but couldn`t find one anywhere. I even painted my 87 suburban that color. We found my yukon with 22k when it was 2 years old for a pretty good deal so we jumped on it.

I wanted blue green crystal, which I believe only came on the upper trim packages, like the Z71, Denali, and eskys. That or I wanted the metallic red, not sure what the called. Anyways when I was shopping all I could find was either black or white. I was bored with white and my previous suv was white, and I definitely didn’t want black as it’s too much of a pain in the ass to keep clean cuz I love off a short dirt road, that wasn’t happening. Plus all the black ones I found were in pretty beat up condition, both paint wise and mechanically. So those were out. Lol. That’s why I ended up with my silver birch.

I was about to purchase a Bermuda blue z71 before i got the one I have now. it was 166k miles for $4500 and had everything I wanted but the lower mileage is what won me over

I love the indigo blue! I’d rather have that over my silver birch! Lol
