I'm gonna install an oil filter relocation on my 2019 Yukon 5.3L. I bought a dual filter mount that will hold 2 oil filters.
Ready for the silly ass Question?
can I use any oil filter (I prefer bigger filters) or do I have to use the prescribed oil filter?
Seems to me oil pressure is oil pressure and any filter will do, Am I incorrect?
Is AN-8 braided lines big enough?
Let the hate begin.....

Not sure on filter, but if you go with a bigger filter check oil capacity as you might require more oil.

It is a relocation kit that allows 2 filters. If it makes a difference on the filters it would warn you about it. Use any 2 filters you want that are in an application for your year, make and model engine.

Actually, if you look at the filter you should notice the threads Diameter and pitch, and the gasket inner/outer diameter and fill holes ring. These should all match in order for a different filter to fit. I recommend very good flex lines such as Aeroquip/Stratoflex to connect this.
Way back most of the remote filters used the ford style filter threads and sizing.

use the filters that fit your base, have the micron rating you are looking for...MONITOR NEW OIL PRESSURE, this may now vary.

Verify correct capacity after install.
