I did a 2/4 drop a few years ago..... shock extenders came with the kit and were installed with everything else. About a year later I did the free travel mod b/c I would sit on the bump stops with very little load. I am having the same issue these other guys are with the passenger rear...... I feel like mine could be a bad factory shock but one person said they had belltech shocks so there for I wonder it is worth getting after market shocks if I am going to have the same issue.
Im jiving with ya here. All that you said, would leave me to believe your factory shocks are too long. They worked fine with the shock extenders originally, because it had the factory bumpstop height. With the free travel mod, you get more compression…most likely enough more that it bottoms out the shocks before the bumpstops do their job.

Take your shocks off and measure the compressed length…see if they compress enough when the rear is down on the bumpstops.

That is kind of what I was thinking after finding this thread. I was just chalking it up to worn out shocks since I have 106K on it. Sounds like a good reason to replace the factory shocks with something better.

I have to take new pictures, this is the day I bought it. But my PPV seems to be dead level, I actually want a bit of a forward rake. I was thinking a 3/2 drop. I know the PPV suspension is already lower., I would likely do drop spindles and drop struts to tune it to my liking. Rear I was thinking a 2” spring, but that may only be a 1” drop from what I’ve read. Does anybody have any raked Tahoes for reference?

@Ericdd Your PPV does sit a lot more level front to back than non PPV models. I’d bet you have about a 1/2” +/- rake now if you measured from ground to fender lip vertically through the center cap of the wheel.

If you want it lower I’d start with maybe a 2/2 and see how you like it. The rear might not lower as much as you think and you could end up right where you wanna be. Then if not just swap to a lowering strut/spring in the front.

Thats good to know, I have the rear lowered to match to stock front end. When I got the driveshaft made up they said that drop wouldnt matter either. Now to save some $ to find a 10speed and have it rebuilt to atleast handle 600hp without worry

Belltech 1020SP 2/4 drop on 22x10 TIS 507S on 2019 LT 4WD

I'm guessing the rear springs will settle a bit over time, but overall very happy with the look.

i'm not usually a fan of busy looking wheels, but those look good
definitely invest in a nice soft bristle brush to keep them clean ;)

Got the drop redone with correct settings. First pic was 5/3 (installer misinterpreted instructions). New pic is 3/4. Looks much better.
