Shopping for wheels-I need a bit of guidance from those more experienced

As the title says, I’m shopping for some new wheels And need a bit of guidance as there seems to be quite a bit of misinformation.

I have a 2013 Tahoe Z 71 four-wheel-drive, currently has a zone 2 inch front leveling kit with Bilstein 5100 struts set at the factory height. I do have a CCM 2 1/2 inch strut spacer to swap out in case I need the extra half inch.

I have a new set of Goodyear Dura trac 285/65r18 that I’d really like to keep instead of buying another set of tire
s.

With a 2 inch or 2 1/2 inch lift with an 18 inch wheel — what is the widest offset/backspacing that I can go with? I have the front fender liner zip tied back on the front and no modifications to the rear portion of the wheel well liner.

Have you tried the tire size calculator? It has an option for wheel offset too.

Just go by the stock size and offset as a start then you can play with the numbers. If you really want to be sure befispending big bucks go to a used tire shop and get one mounted.

Do you want to stay close to factory or do you want the tire moved out from the wheel well?

I would like them moved out a bit ...if possible. I'm seeing 18x9 and 20x9 with anywhere from 1mm to 18mm offset that seem to fit?

I second this. I had 305/55r20 on my old Burban with -24mm. Stuck out just past the flares.

Fuel, BlackRhino, Method Race wheels, all of them offer their wheels in an offset range for factory and leveled or lifted trucks. Since you want to keep your new 18" tires, you should have no problem getting the right fit from any of those suppliers...keep in mind too that the rim width aftermarket is going to be wider than stock, stock I think is 8.0 or 8.5, and the aftermarket will range in 8.5-9.0 with offsets from -12 to +18. Anything from a 0 to +12 should be fairly aggressive and will look right with your current tire setup.

I just put on a 1mm offset fuel vector 18" wheels with duratrac OEM midnight edition width tires (265 i believe). I have very slight rub in reverse at turn without any suspension or bumper modifications. I think I would be able to do a 285 tire with just ziptying the wheel well

Any recommendations on where to buy OEM 17 inch rims for 2007-2014 Tahoes or Suburbans? Looking for four. Leery about buying off eBay.

craigslist, facebook marketplace, letgo, offer up are all good. I had mostly good experiences there. If youre lucky on this site's classifieds section there are great deals from time to time

GM wheels will have a GM stamp on the inside of the wheel. Look for bends and cracks or signs someone was trying to fix them

Thanks I will look there. I have an SSV with police wheels that I'll likely try to sell here or elsewhere when I buy the new ones.
