Someone cut off the pigtail connector(see image) that plugs into the rear wiring harness that services the side detection modules, back up sensors and park assist.
I am attempting to do the repair myself as a local shop quoted me over $2,000 to repair it.
I bought the pigtail connector and wires/seals installed into the back of the connector.

The dilemma I'm running into right now is that on the male side(pins), there are 14 wires/pins, but on the body wiring harness, there are 15 wires.
I'm trying to figure out where this 15th wire goes or if even needs to go anywhere?

Any ideas?

How do you know where the wires go? Do you have a diagram of the connector harness?
Yes I have a diagram that I purchased from ALLDATA. Also, I can see the color wires from on the other connector and which terminal they are sitting in

Ok I found out the purpose of the last wire. It goes into Terminal 23 and its the rear fog lamp control. But again, there is no pin on the other connector that would power that wire.

Last wire is for Terminal 23. (See screenshot).
Even with this wire not plugged in, I don't see why the other components will still not work.
I unhooked the black wire from the battery for 10 minutes to reset the computer.
Still no luck.

Rear fog lamp control? Is that a provision for a non-US system?

that's not uncommon, if there is no pin on the receiver end then you do not have that option.
same on my 18, there are pins on the bcm side of the door harness and nothing present on the door, however it made upgrading easier.
it is all dependent upon the trim level and/or whatever harness gm threw on it that day.

I figured that was the case. Thanks for confirming.
So, I got it all soldered back up, triple checked that the wiring is correct and sitting in the correct terminals.
Still the same error on the dash:Service Side Detection, Park Assist, Front Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control.
Is there a module that controls all these extra safety features?
I'm wondering if the module/controller is bad?
I've been messing around with this for almost a year now and still no luck.

you will need a bidirectional scanner to see what is happening, such as something with gds2 or a higher level scanner like a autel, snapon, bosch, etc.
could be a module, could be a pinched wire or open circuit, etc. might need a relearn.
until you can get some real body codes then no telling really.
with all the sensors on that denali it's going to take a good scan to figure it out, could need a calibration or more.
I am guessing that's why you were told $2k

Getting the body/chassis diagnostic trouble code(s) would at least point to an issue that's generating the dash message.

So I bought a TOPDON J2534 Passthrough to attempt a reprogram of the modules. I get the same error trying to re-program: Cyber security Access Failure.

that is a security error, it could be something on the tds end, or windows is not up to date time/date is off or anything of that nature and lastly they could be detecting a clone device.
you have to be sure to run everything as administrator also.

also if there is a communication problem to a module or modules then re-programming will never work
the pass-thru module "might" work for gds2 but the cheapest option thru gm is a 3 day pass

I tried it on a 2nd laptop; same error.
Beginning to think its something on ACDelco's end.
This has been making my blood boil.

Give them a call and discuss your issue. I had connection issues, and their Techs got me connected and helped ensure that the programming update was installed correctly.
