Rusty trusty

I've had my suburban for 2 years now....thought about selling it and buying a newer one but no car payment sounds a lot better. So I've been qouted from a few different places from $1700-$4000 to cut out and fix the rust. But I'm fairly handy and curious if I could by patch panels and do it myself. Anyone have some experience?

My brother in law is a welder. I thinking of seeing if I cut the panels out if he could weld them in. Can't be to hard right?

I used to work at a junk yard cutting cars. I do not know how hard it would be to make your own replacement pieces, but you can probably buy them from a junk yard. You can have them cut from the A pillar all the way to the back and then cut what you need from that. Might be easier than trying to make your own pieces.

I was gonna buy the new patch panels online. Just worried about getting everything lined up correctly
