Freaking awesome!! Good for you man!Dang that sucks. Good news came in my email today: ODOT just said my check is in the mail as of today. That didn't take long at all. And they didn't even say anything about the fact that I have almost no sidewall on my 26's or that the wheel was almost $600. Sweeeet!

That person would be someone named Kery Bell, not sure if it's a man or a woman, but they did indeed say " Merry Christmas, stay safe out there" ! We just got hit with a snowstorm and nobody knows how to drive in it plus ODOT doesn't use chemicals or salt on our roads due to environmental concerns so I'm sure they've had their hands full which makes it more amazing that a check is on its way. Thanks Kery whoever you are. ( I did thank him/her)Tis the season of giving , someome in the state office hooked you up. merry Christmas for sure![]()

That liquid is calcium chloride. Was sprayed on the salt to keep it from clumping together. Used to shrink my leather gloves pretty bad. Very corrosive.I wish the CT DOT was like that they dump salt by the ton plus all this liquid shit

Sweet! Consider yourself very lucky.Got my check from ODOT for my bent rim yesterday, so it wasn't a dream after all. They really did pay for a 26" Dub Baller lol. Would be cheaper to fix the pothole.
I worked NJDOT back in 89-92. We always had to wash out the trucks, plows, plow frames, augers and salt spinners after we we're done. They'd still rust. Every spring we painted them that awesome NJDOT snot yellow /green.The DOT washes there trucks after every snow storm so they say they don't see in increase in anything rusting out (even tho this ***** terrible) could put a rust inhibitor in it so it's not as bad but they claim it's a waste of $ all these people that don't wash there cars espc. underneath goes to shit fast

Are the truck bodies aluminum or steel? When I was there, they were steel. They now use aluminium. The DOT washes there trucks after every snow storm so they say they don't see in increase in anything rusting out (even tho this ***** terrible) could put a rust inhibitor in it so it's not as bad but they claim it's a waste of $ all these people that don't wash there cars espc. underneath goes to shit fast
