I got the reps installed today. One of the wheels has a slight out-of-round condition which was discovered after the tire was mounted. I looked at it while they spun it up and it looked OK, the lip just barely moves. I asked Factory Reproductions about it and they said if it causes vibrations they will replace it but my friend who owns the tire shop and me both agreed it should be fine. I'll get on a freeway tomorrow and check for sure. Anyway, not bad for winter wheels.View attachment 185771 View attachment 185772 View attachment 185773 View attachment 185774 View attachment 185775

Love it. Just an FYI, when that little red spot wears off the tire, it might slow down a little.

damn, thats a nice set of winter wheels. i love the way 22's look on these NBS'. It just feels right to me. 24's look great as well. But i generally like 22's on trucks and 19's on cars. Looks great, Mark!

Hit the freeway this morning and did a couple runs up to 90. Wheels are smooth as silk, no vibrations at all. So that makes me happy, I don't need to worry about sending a wheel back. I didn't think it was going to be a problem but there was that little thought in the back of my head saying " what if". It was a 55 zone and there was traffic so I didn't get the 120 MPH test done yet but if it doesn't shimmy at 90 I'm sure I'll be ok.

Checked my racing equipment and brakes today like the instructions say, but nobody wanted to race me. I did scare some dudes on the sidewalk with my screaming loud exhaust though. I’ll have to get a sound clip of it driving by under throttle some day.

Too bad you live on the other side of the country...I'd love to see your beast at a red light in my other truck lol...it's 27 degrees here, the twin turbos are ready to play :D

I'm kidding about racing; I'm not building that much HP at this time although I'm not sure what I'm getting since it hasn't been dynoed. I need a bigger fuel pump, injectors, map sensor and a 2-bar tune in order to build big enough boost. Maybe by next summer...

Doing some maintenance on the Dubs while they’re off. Paint matching is turning out to be a challenge on the machined part. It looks black from straight on but goldfish from the side so Im trying to mix some Testers in black and gold. I just need to touch up a few small chips enough so they don’t catch your eye. I’ll update it when I get it to match better. Still mixing lol. The center caps were causing chips around them from vibration so I used a black enamel Sharpie to add a black painted line on the wheel bores and the outside of the center caps. It blends in good.F6D4C455-F91F-45DC-BD18-C0FDA51D6559.jpeg 0CB0F26D-7E28-45E5-96E6-6E7D75B74637.jpeg 2D8D8D8A-5E09-4553-B063-E567E3C955C3.jpeg 879BF2CF-97E8-4C94-83D8-F41C3DF9DDC7.jpeg C9CFDA29-3063-477C-8816-AAE0C1BBFF40.jpeg

I think I'll just touch up my Dubs, but thanks for looking out for me. I'm not looking to spend any more money on wheels and tires right now. I just spent six grand on brakes and winter wheels. :word:

I like how the finish on the dubs compliment the paint. No reason to go 26 reps. I like the look of your 22s a lot and think it would be a nice compromise for my 24s. Low profile tires are a beating sometimes..
