Has anyone ordered “GM Genuine” parts from RA?

I ordered a new blower motor and resistor listed as “GM Genuine” and neither part appear to be genuine. The blower motor has no manufacturer markings and just says “made in China” on it. The resistor requires me to splice wires as the harness is different and it’s made by a company called Woory made in Korea.

I see some ACDelco resistors listed that are made by Woory, so that may be a contracted out OEM part? Either way, the blower motor looks nothing like my original and it requires screws to mount it (which it did not come with) and I don’t see any way to mount it under the dash. Also, what is that extension that comes out of it for?

RA parts search said these fit my 2003 Yukon Denali, but I am hesitant to start cutting up my factory harness for fake GM parts, probably going to sleep on this until I get some opinions. Luckily I’m in FL and my wife doesn’t really need to use the truck for any distance for awhile. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Did someone in the warehouse do a switcheroo? The part numbers on either part don't match the part numbers on the box or packing slip. I could be wrong but I'd think one of the numbers would match at least what's on the box.

GM parts are made all over the world and they change suppliers like underwear.
you can't really expect have the exact same part in the box as it was 20 years ago
I figured that was the case, I went ahead and installed the resistor and put terminal connectors on the 3 wires that go to the factory harness. There ended up being some foam insulation that fell into the blower fan that was causing the initial noise so it ended up only needing the resistor and not the blower motor, I’ll add the full details in my build thread tomorrow. Long story short, I fixed it and the AC fan controls work now.

I agree. Even if numbers change the box should still match what's in it? That's more worrisome then the manufacturer or location as that does change from time to time.

I've had no issues before ordering GM Genuine parts for my GMT800s from RockAuto. I can't remember if I've been in your situation though?

Yesterday I received an AC Delco rear AC actuator (bought from Amazon, but I normally don't order GM Genuine/AC Delco from here) and it says Made in Korea and looks legit, similar to your part there.

I think the problem is GM manufacturers a lot of parts, but they also use many different other manufacturers across the globe.

I would put RA above Amazon as far as getting what you pay for.
I agree, but when you deliberately opt to order OEM parts you can usually expect it to be better quality than aftermarket. Luckily I didn't need the blower motor.

Edit: I also just realized I posted this in the wrong section (07-14 instead of 00-06). I was about a 6 pack in and posted from my phone lol.

They match. Look at the receipt and then look at the boxes and look at the "ACD #". Same number just once has a "-" and one doesn't.

Oh, ok.

I was going to mention that I recently replaced the blower motor resistor on my 06 from RA as well. Mine was the "Four Seasons" brand and I also had to cut splice the harness for the new part. But everything works well. So I wouldn't hesitate to do that again. I also replaced the blower motor, but I can't even remember what brand I bought?

I didn't mention this on my previous post because I saw this was on the GMT900 subsection so I wasn't sure if that even applied...

I know this isn't an "OEM" issue but I ordered an AC Delco alternator for my GST a few years back. It came and was not even close to the right alternator but had the correct label on it and the box. Sent it back for a replacement and I didn't think much of it. Got the replacement in, not even close again and this one was huge like twice the size it should be with the same label on it and the box. I contacted them again and told them the had some major problems somewhere. They sent me a second replacement and it was correct with the same label on both alternator and box. It's to the point that it is a crapshoot no matter where you shop.

We or at least I was referring to the part in the box has different numbers than whats listed on the box.
X2. A guy isn't installing the box in the truck lol.

It would make a whole lot more sense to me if when they change suppliers to update the part numbers so the box and part both match. All it is in this case is stickers but still it would keep a guy from wondering if it is the correct part or not.
