Replace door speakers with 6x9s?

How hard would it be to replace to stock bose speakers with 6x9s? I know they aren't the same size but could you just cut out the right area and put them in?

You could mount them too the door panel and remove the Bose grilles in the back and use the grilles that came with your speakers or mount the 6x9s with the Bose grille. The fronts would be hard I believe because the 6x9s would touch the door in the back. I know you can put them in but for sure fit ability you'd need too lose the Bose grilles and build a pod or buy a pre made pod for them and mount the pods to the door.

So i could do it in the passenger doors but not the front? i would be fine with just 2 6x9s. So tell me a little more how to do it?
