I meant setup. I was up for 27+ hours when I posted here last. I don't have a spare one to look up injector model for the spec on flow rate but the popet deal is not used on the redesigned module.

Well, found a few minutes to check the Hoe. It still has that leak
I'll be ordering that new set within the next week. Hopefully it will resolve this issue.
I miss my Hoe.

Meanwhile, I'll be putting my spindles on and am hopefully working with some fella to help me design me 4-link. I'm also going to try to dial in my steering box, AGR sent me some directions on adjusting it. Maybe that will resolve the steering issue.

Bringing this back

Final update: After letting my Hoe sit for several chilly NC months I finally got off my ass and jum back in. To make a long story short, it was the gasket that goes on the spider assembly. I took off the upper plenum, which was rather hard, Why you ask, hah. Because the gasket rolled off the seal and wasnt doing anything. I took the old gasket off and could fit an OE replacement inside of it. What busts mu bubble is, this happened to 4 gaskets all felpro. I put the OE Delphi gasket and it slid right on, no problems.......

The good news, I can return my other new spider assembly, bracket and gasket set

While it has sat for a few months, I did take it for a spin one or two times. I noticed both valve covers are leaking and water is leaking out of the one hose that has a quick connect on it, not sure if its for the AC. I'm starting to get pretty aggrivated with this. If its not one thing, its another. Not sure what I'm going to do.

heater hose QD actually you can get a new fitting with o-rings and clip at local stores.

A little update.
After driving the Hoe for a few weeks, everything has been going well.
I looked under it today and saw three wet spots. I touched the wet spots (no dirty jokes ), its clear like water but has a slick filmy feel. Like coolant
I noticed that fitting is leaking a little more and is running to the back of the motor. I am hoping thats it.
I got my trusty flashlight and mirror to check out the rear of the motor where I replaced the lower intake manifold gasket and noticed it was a little wet to. Man, I'm hoping its the leaky fitting that is soaking the back. I do not want to have to do the lower manifold again.

Yup, the lower intake manifold is leaking AGAIN

What is the best rtv to use for a lower intake manifold gasket?

use absolutely no sealant on intake gasket except for font and rear block structure. The gasket has bead type sealing. either you did not torque properly something is warped or gasket was damaged.

Thanks for the part number and info, I appreciate it.
Unfortunately I have a feeling what happened. It was the person who did the work with me. This is the reason it has been done two times previous. He is a the reason and the reason I am going to take it to a shop. I should actually blame myself for this. No excuses, just aggrivation.

Just curious. Why only use the white parts? Why not replace the whole thing?

I swung by the parts store and saw they had both parts available.

the white retainer and o-rings can wear a lot more the the metal fitting. and depending on condition of threads it may not come out with out doing damage because of possible damage or corrosion. I decided to replace mine last year when the upper engine was being reworked and the threads completely shot themselves in the foot making the manifold useless.

Just replaced the gaskets and seals. Noticed the inside of the fitting has some corrosion. Didnt think too much of it. Well, I was wrong. Its enough to prevent them from sealing. Still leaking like a siv.

Did a google search. Found out that it is a common problem for these fittings to fail. NOT GOOD.

Anyone have any tips of cleaning the inside of the fitting? would like to try to clean it before attempting to remove it.

I know they are called quick disconnect fittings but can someone tell me how to disconnect them? I have replaced both of them on my truck and they are new and I now have to pull the intake so I would like to " disconnect " one and I cannot for the life of me figure it out.

OK, after speed reading this long thread, are we to believe that after you replaced the intake manifold gasket you found that the actual leak was from the heater hose fitting? poor guy

squeeze the tabs together against the hose an pull.

Now what seems to happen is, it will over heat. Even on my short commute it gets to 200 degrees. Now, I dont consider it "overheating" but it gets up that high in a very short period of time. Three miles to exact. The only way to get it to stop is put the heat on high. Mind you it was 80 degrees out today and the other day as well.
Does this sound like my Tstat is sticking?
What else could it be?

My heater hose is still leaking as well.
