I'm planning to replace my Yukon (non-Denali) stock headlights with Denali headlights, due to the benefit of projectors. Halos are not necessary for me.

When I looked at the back of Denali headlights, I found the low beam (projector) connection seems different from non-Denali headlights. Here are some pictures:

Can someone confirm if this connector is same as 9006 connector? Anyone tried no-name Denali headlights off eBay? How are they? Thanks.

Some one correct me if I'm wrong. They use a 9005 bulb and I'm pretty sure the 9006 and 9005 bulbs have the same connection. Just have different fitting on the actual bulb where it fits into the headlight.

Calvin, I have Denali projectors on my truck and what I do is shave the inside of the 9006 bulb so it will fit the 9005 clip. I'll have to take pics as it's kinda tricky to describe but the 9006 looks like this l_l_l_l and the 9005 looks like this l__l__l or vice versa. I shave it so it looks like so l____l . That way it'll slide over either clip. Hope this helps.

Hi, guys, I'm still confused. Does Denali projector use 9005, and Yukon reflector uses 9006?
The connector in the picture seems not connect to the bulb directly, anyone knows why?
I bet the bulbs won't come with the headlight order, and I wish to use my existing expensive PIAA 9006, is that possible? Maybe need some work like Alex did? Thanks.

I think it's to keep it from getting puled and misaligned, and to make it easier to remove the headlight to get access to the turn signals. Mine are like that too.

The denali uses the 9005 bulb. Not sure if 9005 and 9006 connectors are the same tho.

denali's definitly use 9005 (figured this out after i ordered 9006 hid's)
the connectors are similar but not interchangable unless you modify. the denali headlight has a extension harness on it, in theory you could cut off the truck side connector and the headlight mating connector to convert your truck to a true 9005 connector, it would literally take you 5 min each side to do it.

I'm doing some work on mine tomorrow, I'll snap some pics of the lights so you can see how I addressed the issue.
