Question about a Black Bear tune

I was wondering if i got a traditional tune could i still use my superchips flashpaq to changemy speedometer for ONLY gear and tire size? Im just asking because i plan on changing back to stock tires to go to the track, and it seems pointless to keep sending the pcm back and forth.

Possible for sure... Superchips stores your "factory" tune (if you have the BB tune in place prior to flashing with the Flashpaq, it's considered "factory") and then makes the changes you select via the Flashpaq. Restoring the "factory" settings after using the Flashpaq would (in theory anyway) put things back to pre-flash conditions...i.e BB tune settings.

Unfortunately not, it would write over the BBP tune.

You could do the AutoCal with a tune. This way it could flash over the tune with a modified one for the stock tire settings, shift points, speedo, etc... Inquire with them as I believe they are running an AutoCal/tune special.

Another alternative would be to just get another black box & have that tuned with the tire specs you want along with the BBP tune. This way you could switch them out whenever you wanted. This would be the more economical route.

Yup, I ordered a 'spare' pcm with my tune, and it was that price and I recieved a new/used pcm that contained my tune. So now I have my stock no tune pcm, and the BB provided tuned pcm. For the low, low price of only $60 + $50 for the crank relearn (~$110), you get to keep your original incase you have to send out the tuned one for upgrading. Well worth spending the extra $$...

It won't work, when it gets ready to start loading the tune it will stop and say 'tuning is not stock' or something to that effect. I tried it diagnosing some issues after I put in a cam
