Purple stain on rear windshield

So I removed the plastic piece on the bottom of the rear windshield... And where the tape was the window now has a purple hue. I used Goo Gone to get rid of the gunk.. Not sure how this could have messed up the window?? Crappy iPhone picture below..

Did I somehow damage the window? Has anyone else had this??

it looks to me like you removed the plastic piece in the middle of the rear window that is there to assist you in closing the window ..... why would you remove it?

Yeah it looks better without it. I hate pitting armorall in it everytime I wash the truck because it gets so faded. Sorry man I have no idea how u can get that purple stain off.
