I am having a problem with my 1997 Tahoe. It started a few months ago. My rear window washer and wiper quite working. Then a few days later it started working again, but the cruse control quite. Then it stared working and the passenger side rear window quite. then it started working and ( you guessed it ) the child locks went crazy. With them manually selected in the off position you could not open the rear doors from the inside. The that started working and the drivers side rear would not let down. So that is where I am at this moment. Does anyone have any ideas whats going on.

for the wipers and cruise I think your multi-switch unit is defunct.

Thanks, where will I find this and how do I test it?

It is the big stick on the left of the steering column that you use change turn signal, wiper and cruise functions. To test it you will need multimeters for sure.
