Passive Locks Issue

I have a 2021 Yukon Denali and the drivers side passive locks for both driver and rear door stopped working several months ago. I bought a new Tahoe and getting the Yukon ready to sell.


Passenger side works normal.

-I've tried both fobs.
-I've tried resetting with the "hold lock/unlock on fob" method.
-I've turned passive of and then on through the settings on the radio screen

I'm at a loss. I'd like to solve it without taking it to the dealership. If anyone has more suggestions, I'd be greatful.

It does the same for lock and unlock and from the driver switch panel?when you press the button can you hear anything happening? I’ve seen some posts where the lock gets stuck and won’t go into or out of the slot.

The locks work great when using the fob or the actual buttons on the inside door panel. Just the exterior buttons don't work. It's like they are dead.

Then it could be the actuator. I don’t think there’s a fuse specifically for these buttons but check the panel to be sure. It’s unlikely that wiring would fail on more than one at the same time.

I have the same problem with my passenger door passive lock. I googled this: "where is passenger passive lock fuse located on 2023 tahoe" and Google AI said the fuse is number 26 in the passenger side fuse box. I checked it and it's fine. Next stop dealer.

Sorry none of this helped. Before going to the dealer let’s see if @Doubeleive has any experience with this issue.

I would guess it is the button on the door handle, based on the reported issue.
without a scanner advanced enough to show the commanded state of the door handle/lock though you are at the mercy of a shop

Do you think an Indy shop can to this or is the dealer the best choice? I hate folks overpaying.
