I may be in need of a different motor for my son's 1997 K1500 truck and was wondering which years would be considered plug and play? I know things switched form OBDI to ODBII in the '94-'96 range and the intake/throttle configuration changed somewhere in that time period as well.
I am assuming if I get a motor from a '96 -'98 I should be able to just do a direct swap, but what are my options if I find a sound motor from an earlier year of the GMT400 series?
