I just got this Tahoe, and the owner did not know what kit was used to lower it.

On the front it has some blue springs, and the rear, I have not looked into yet. Anyone have an idea based on the front springs and the ride height?

rear looks like a 4inch.. meaning drop hangers and shackles.

front coils can be either Summit brand which is dark blue paint, or ground force has a baby blue paint...
front also looks like Spindles to lower it.. brand is unsure of since i dont see any pictures.. :)

Thank you for the helpfull reply. I will get some pictures up soon and post them up.

The ride is very bouncy when I go over bumps and dips in the highway. So I am trying to see what shocks will remedy my issue.

All white shocks are either DJM or doetsch shocks or summit shocks as well. Blue/yellow are bilstein. Black and red are Belltech, Silver is belltech street shocks etc etc

Never used summit drop coils, but ive used the doetsch/summit shocks. Ride nice a little stiffer but good for drop applications.

well then the coils might be good and will ride decent, maybe your shocks gave up tho. Notice any oil at the bottom of them? Usually when they go, you know it! lol had my old belltechs blow up and piss oil all over my rim and such.
Struts do the same thing.

the shocks and struts arent leaking, but i do need to verify if they are stock or not. if they are they are probably just very worn out.

Ill post my findings soon and some pictures

I have ground force springs in the front, and the spindles looked factory.

I am not sure what is in the rear, but I have an excessive amount of travel in my suspension.

Do you have any suggestions on shocks/struts for my ride height?

I dont want to drop it anymore or raise it any to be honest. Thats why I said which shocks/struts for my current ride height, I like the ride height where it is, but I need to replace the tired factory shocks/struts

I appreciate any advice or suggestions

thanks, so you think its a 2 inch drop in the front? what about the rear? or do I just look for 2 inch drop shocks all the way around?

have you sued the summit brand ones, if so how satisfied are you with them?

yea looks to just be a 2inch all the way around.

i actually just bought a set for my truck but there not small enough for the huge drop i have. If you want em im trying to get 50shipped instead of the 64 plus dollars summit sells em for.

Just my $.02...
1. If your front suspension change is from a spindle drop, you can use factory height shocks - nothing has changed geometrically in that situation.
2. If your front suspension change is from a spring drop, you'll need to match the shocks to the drop height (difference in suspension travel).

I went with the Belltech Nitro Drop Shocks

I am very satisfied with them for the price. They could be a bit more firm imho, but not a bad shock for the money.
