i would buy a cheap obd reader and you can get the live data your self maybe even record a video the one i got is the 34.88 dollar one
I was reading the scanner as he was working on my Tahoe. He was explaining everything as he was going through it.
That is my main reason for choosing this mechanic, they let me stand and watch everything they do.
I'd probably benefit from a Tech II, I have no idea how to use them haha.
Most people don't know how to use the Tech II, till they get one and use one.
Check ebay daily. Make sure you get a case at same time.

Time to buy a Tech 2 ..I see a ton of threads when I do a search units clones vs. originals ETC... Where is the best place to purchase? Are there accessories I should be looking at in addition to the unit? Is it even possible to buy a non-clone unit? TIA

I think pretty much all of us have the Chinese version, and it’s fine for the most part.
