Opening door doesn't activate interior lights?

I just (around 4-5 hours ago) purchased an 06 Denali XL. I love it thus far and I love the ability to make all the custom changes to things like head light delays, door lock alerts, etc. However I noticed that when I stop, turn off the car and open the door, no interior lights come on. I could not find a setting to adjust this. The lights come on when I lock or unlock the doors with the key fob, but shouldn't opening a door turn on the lights also? Let me know if there is anything I can do to make them come on when a door opens?

Theres a spring button...a little round one...someone probably pushed it before you got the truck...it turns on or off that feature

See the button on the bottom left corner by your headlight switch? push that once..it will activate the door trigger for the lights

Thanks. I figured it was something simple. I can't wait to play around with the new toy tomorrow.

Congrats... I must have spent an hour setting the seats, pedals, mirrors, reverse mirror position, and radio stations for driver 1 and a second set for a much shorter driver 2.

It's a lot of fun.
