2011 Tahoe Intermittent Left Rear Door Ajar MSG and thinks door is open and alarm activates.

I get a MSG stating, "Left Rear Door Ajar" and the interior lights stay on when driving and when parked and locked however, the door is secured. The alarm will activate when the vehicle thinks that the door is open. This occurred out of the blue after I got the car washed. Any ideas on where to start looking? BTW the left rear door larch was replaced about six months ago.

I would guess the door latch.. Or the light-blue/black wire is broken and grounding out? (seems unlikely)

I just replaced that door latch about 5 months ago with a Standard DLA822 from Rockauto. I just ordered a replacement GM GENUINE 22862036 from RA for I'm thinking that the switch is defective.

Pretty common with the aftermarket. They just don't seem to last.
