Onstar question

Has anyone upgrade onstar? I would love to be able to use the myChevrolet app like I do with my ss.

Is this even possible?


I know the onstar on my ss is based on the gen5 camaro stuff. So could I just use onstar equipment from the 10-14 Tahoe?

I've heard of people with older trucks (07-09?) swapping out the box thats located behind the stereo with one from a newer (10-14?) and getting all the Onstar services to work.

I read a post somewhere on this forum about it about a year ago. They said something about when you activate it, it will show up to Onstar as whatever vehicle it was pulled from (year/model)
