Oil Consumption - Another fix - Valvoline Premium Blue Restore 10w30

For those of you that are suffering from high oil consumption, there may be an easier fix than GM TSB 10-06-01-008M

Valvoline makes an oil for Cummins that will free up stuck rings. Its hard to get and not cheep at $80/gal. A year ago I performed the GM TSB as well as installed the new improved valve cover and all is well. If your not the mechanic type, this special oil may be the ticket. Also, use an oversize filter like Wix# 57045XP, Baldwin B7444, NAPA 7045 to catch the junk.

My local Cummins dealer sells it by the gal or it can be ordered online from RyderFleetProducts.

Does anyone have any experience with this? What could go wrong? Any concerns with running a diesel oil in a gas engine?
