if you dig into the numbers the suburban numbers really drove the % increase - which was driven by less than stellar sales back in 2Q 2022.

Tahoe sales are back to being pretty much in line with pre-covid numbers, the Yukon is a different story, still a long way from 2018/19 production levels (monthly numbers are the same b/c GM only reports quarterly results vs monthly data)

Yup, they need to keep increasing production.

When I looked at Q1 2023 vs Q2 2023 for GM production it was around a 10-20% average increase. The Expedition increase was about 50% from Q1 2023 to Q2 2023. So Ford is gaining a larger foothold in that market because GM wasn't able to match the % increase in sales volume from Q1 to Q2.

So most of those articles are comparing Q1 2022 versus Q1 2023 (or Q2 2022 versus Q2 2023). I think 2022 was an odd year for the Expedition because it was undergoing a refresh so the factory may have been shut down for retooling.

That's why I thought it was better to compare two quarters that are adjacent. Ie. Q1 2023 vs Q2 of 2023. Or even Q4 of 2022 vs Q1 2023.

The % increase per quarter for the Expedition has been greater than that for the GM products. They are all increasing production levels - just at different rates.

Where did you get the month by month data?

tahoe

yukon

if you drill back from one of those, there's a lot of random info (including sales data for all GM vehicles).

Some of the pages - like the yukon, doesn't have USA listed first but generally the data is there. Guess the data is right, the whole same value for each month threw me off at first until i saw the disclaimer about quarterly data

Does anyone know if the 2024 will have any new packages? Rims? Colors? I know there's no refresh; however was wondering if they would add any packages.

Order guide should be out within the next month or so - don't expect anything drastic. Maybe a couple of new colors and a couple of colors are dropped. Packages might shuffle around some of the options and some options become available on lower level trims.

I’m DYING to know if the LM2 diesel will be replaced by the LZ0. Also right now I just realized the 23’ build configurator won’t allow for a Denali with the Reserve package to be built with second row bench seating. WTF?!?

I am dying to know if the ugly infotainment system will be replaced by what chevy is using on their 1500 trucks.
