I bought a new to me 2004 Yukon XL Denali from a low overhead car lot for $5100 tax/title/out the door. It has 209,000 miles which is a bit higher than I wanted, but what else am I going to get in the $5k range. Plus, the 6.0 Vortec really tickled my fancy. It will be driven about 2000 miles a year hauling my 19 foot boat back and forth to the lake. First GM product I have ever owned (never been a brand loyal guy) and I’m excited about the 4l60e transmission. I like having the ability to manually shift to 3rd or 2nd when towing my boat up the grade. This site appears to be a wealth of information and I’m excited to be here.

Welcome! Clean rig! 200k she’s just getting broke in! Keep up with the maintenance and drive her easy she will last you a long time!
Does she have a transmission temp gauge on the cluster? For hauling the boat long distances I’d keep an eye on that to make sure you don’t run it hot at any time especially on inclines. I’ve had great luck with my tru cool 40k transmission cooler on 4 vehicles now they dropped my highway temp on the Tahoe from 205 down to 165 for 150$ it’s cheap insurance to prolong the life of the transmission. Mine has over 300,000 miles on her now all original powertrain

Welcome to the forum. I am jealous of your 6.0 engine. If you have no idea of fluids maintenance history, I would start by doing all fluids to get a baseline.
I’ve changed the antifreeze and done 3x drain and fill on the transmission fluid. Oil change coming this weekend. I’m going to convert from the Z55 air ride to a traditional suspension. I am going to use AC Delco professional grade shocks with Moog heavy duty coils unless anyone recommends differently.
