Lets start by saying that I love my Denali, it has a purpose and it serves it well. I would just like something different to drive now and then. it brings me to this. I found a 95 Camaro Z28, LT1, auto, posi, power this and that, T Top,(doesn't leak) perfect body, glass, seats could use recovering, perfect headliner, aftermarket HU and speakers, wired for subs. paint is flat and needs a respray, but that is a non issue to me. it has fairly new tires, brakes, and factory aloy rims. After saying all of that, it needs a head gasket. which means the heads come off, taken in and re-surfaced and valves ground, and while I'm in there, cam, lifters, timing set, water pump.
Doing the work is another non issue, could do it in my sleep. I know they are not worth a bunch of money, but they do drive and handle better than the 3rd gens. I can get the car for $700. plus another $700 in parts and fluids. Maybe some Misc improvements along the way. I should be into it for less than $1,800 for a decent driver that should get better MPG then my Denali.
Just wanted to bounce this off you guys, I'm 53, know cars in and out, but still it never hurst to have other opinions.
