I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe LT with the Bose system and onstar system. I had chuchero systems installed with aftermarket radio amps etc but decided to get the space back sold the boxes but the stock Bose system sounds terrible. Without opening the doors does anyone know if this particular set up have small tweeters inside the front doors? I’ve seen conflicting answers. Anyone have the exact dimensions of the mids and tweeters that can fit max? Looking to replace the mids with these assuming they fit:

Mids

Not sure what size the tweeters in the columns are. If the doors have them I dunno what size they are either. Looking for some help. Also what yall think this should cost? Assuming I bring all the mids, tweeters, and amps.

The tweeters should be in your A pillars. The doors do not have them. At least on not on any of the 2003, 2004, 2005, or 2007 vehicles I've worked on (Escalade ESV, Sierra, Silverado, Suburban, or Tahoe -- All have Bose amplifiers)

Thanks because o was getting conflicting answers online and offline because some trucks do have them I’d hate to open up the doors and find tweeters there I could’ve changed out.

How much would yiu estimate a job
Like this would cost? Changing 4 mids two tweeters and connecting to aftermarket amps already installed in the truck.

Not sure what you are asking regarding 'cost'. Are you asking about equipment/parts costs, or are you asking about how much it would cost for somebody else to perform the installation work?

My bad I was asking for opinions about the cost for Installation of parts. I already have the amps just need the mids and tweeters. Was making sure I get the right sizes before I order.

You are probably looking at $100-$150 per hour for an installer, and the job should not take more than a few hours to complete.

Could you or anyone in the nyc/nj area recommend an installer that has worked with these old trucks/experience with these swap outs?

the front and rear doors will both fit 6.5" speakers, so get a component set for the front and standard 6.5" 2-way for the rear.
there are no tweeters in the doors, the tweeters are in the front pillar covers, standard 1"
wiring would need to go thru the door boot to feed the tweeters in the pillars, because the front speakers are on the same wires, the tweeter just has a small cap behind it as a filter.
install will be your speaker cost, + figure $500-850 for the installer (normally this is negotiable a little). you can do it yourself obviously for much less

Love my factory Boss, "03 LT Tahoe, setup but cd player stopped working and of course the intermittent no power problem. How much to program replacement factory unit? Only dealer or can I do it myself? Or is this just going to happen again with a use unit? Thx

You might mean "Bose." Boss is an aftermarket product.

anything can happen over time but you can install the radio yourself easily, it will need to be vin unlocked. the dealer can do it in the service drive in about 5 minutes by getting a code off of the radio and then getting a decode number to enter into the radio.
there is also a "possible" phone number to call at gm which is automated, you can find it by googling, not sure if that still works or not.
in any case it's not hard to do

New issue on my BOSE: Stopped working and now looking to bypass the amp and go with new head, maybe c/d/dvr maybe without c/d in which will need e brake bypass etc, not a problem.
Seen lots of advise on line, who has a bypass cable/jumper not home made or what?
Do I just cut wires from amp and loop them back to themselves? Just don't get it?
I want to all speakers to work including tweeters.
I know I need at least GM2000SW-WM1. Seen one guy take connectors from behind radio and switch it to radio connector but no tweeters.
What is the answer!!?? Thanks in advance.
