I have a 2002 Yukon without bose and no onstar. It has the tape deck and the factory 8" woofer in the back. I'm trying to put a pioneer cd player in and it powers up and appears operational but i'm not getting any sound out of the speakers. I tried hooking the remote amp wire up to the pink wire on the small harness and still have no sound. Please help.

I bet this will be the same as my 01 tahoe..

I just had this problem a few weeks ago.. you take the pink wire from the 2nd harness (one on bottom of stock deck) and connect it into blue/white on pioneer harness

let me know if that doesnt make sense....

There was 2 harness' plugged into the stock deck.. the bottom one has a pink wire... Just cut it and connect it up to the blue/white wire thats on the pioneer harness and it'll work.

I tried hooking the blue/white to the pink and still got nothing. As soon as I hook the factory CD player up it all still works fine. Any other suggestions?

The pink wire is the power for the stock amp. Hook the pink wire to the remote power for a amp on the new harness, not the power anttena wire, but the remote turn on wire.

That's what I did. I hooked the blue/white on my pioneer harness to the pink wire on the small plug and still got no sound.

Might check the harness for the pioneer but
Run the remote turn on from your new stereo to the pink wire on the harness.. That should do the trick. I thought it was the blue/white one but I could be wrong..

Denali02, can you please explain a little more on what you did. Which blue wire did you hook to accessory?

WalMart sells the wire harness for your truck and it's only like $10. You should get that.

I bought the wiring harness at my local audio store but it doesn't account for the factory amp

The Bose harness does. It's like $30. You could get that, or you could just check the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual and/or the HU booklet.

Is the Bose harness the same as the non-bose with the factory sub in the back?

I remember having to do a jump wire on the blue wire. I hate that I can't remember. I was a while ago

I would imagine that they would be interchangeable, seeing as how you have a factory amp/sub combo. It's probably the Bose system backbone.

Got it figured out.... had to tie the blue/white remote turn on wire from the CD player to the solid blue "power antenna" on the harness.
