Hello everyone, nice to be here. If I posted this in the wrong place please let me know. We've been having issues with our stereo's CD player for quite some time now. It has trouble accepting CDs, and to top it off when we opened it up, we saw that the CD doesn't spin at all inside the CD player. There is a small gray wheel that spins and makes a whirring sound, but nothing occurs. We then get a "CHECK CD" error message. As such, we were wondering if anybody could identify the issue that's causing this based off the video I've attached. The attached photos show the model type as well. Thank you for your time.

Unless you want to keep your Tahoe all stock it would be cheaper to just get a newer double din radio with many more features. If you want to keep it all stock maybe get a similar radio from a junkyard and switch out the cd mechanism. You could also install another stock radio from a different vehicle but it would need to be programmed to play in yours.

I don't see any video attached ??

I have once disassembled my 2002 GM Bose 6 CD unit and successfully corrected an issue. Turned out on e a lubrication issue.

It was one of the most delicate operations I have ever gotten into.
