2005 GMC Yukon no sound PLZ Help!

2005 GMC Yukon SLT Bose Sound system. I'm trying to do an aftermarket stereo install, buddy told me I didn't need the PAC Interface and just cut the 20 pin connector off the harness, found out that wasn't true, rewired the 20 pin connector back on with simple connectors not soldered, tried getting the aftermarket stereo with the PAC setup, no sound, tried the stock stereo, still no sound. All the fuses look fine, none of the wires are crossed however the amp turn on wire is only showing 0.012V, I replaced the amp to see if that was one of the problems, nope still no sound, could really use some advice, thank you for reading!
