Derek, I think Matt said he bought TBSS 22s from Tony (why he would tell him that this is normal is beyond me), do they come in more than one offset?

Now that you mention it I believe they only come in a +22 offset but I could be wrong. For the record I have not had a wheel stick out like that and in no way is that normal.

Yep the whole wheel is sticking out, but I'll get some better pics when I get to the shop this morning. I took it by last week and had the guys there scratching their heads, but all agreed something wasn't right. Appointment is in a half hour so I may have answers, but I've learned to keep expectations low. If the alignment doesn't take care of it I"m not really sure what I'll do. Dealerships won't touch it because of the modified suspension, and most of the shops here aren't qualified (in my opinion) to go digging around my truck. One step at a time I guess.

Doubt its a offset issue. The top of the wheel is sticking out further than the bottom. THats why i believe its a upper control arm thats way out of adjustment, or something wasnt tightened like the axle nut properly.

The bottom sticks quite a bit also. Not saying it is not an alignment issue but looks to be more.

So the alignment guy said it wasn't even worth putting up on the rack. He looked at the camber on the passenger side and said it was basically maxed out, and on the driver's side it was about half way. Since it's in-spec, he surmised it's likely an upper control arm that is bent. He said he wouldn't be able to tell until he put a new arm on and got it aligned. Ian, can the arms be adjusted, or do I need to just buy a new one?

I thought so. No a bent control arm needs to be replaced. Seeming he did say It maxxed out meaning it cant be adjusted any more. get that replaced asap. That angle on the tire will chew through the outter edge in no time

Ok. Rock Auto has them...Moog or ACDelco? Price difference of about $10, ACDelco being more expensive.

Well the control arms are the same. The irreplaceable ball joint on the upper one is what is different. Go with Moog. They are strong.

Forgive me if I missed something,
But is it even possible for a bent UCA to cause your wheel to stick out evenly?
The UCA is more of a camber issue source. So basically, it being bent would cause negative or positive camber that would cause the top part of the wheel to be in or out more than the bottom.
If anything, it would an LCA issues (lower control arm) that causes the whole will to stick out.
If not, then I would say maybe it's an offset thing. Just because the camber adjustmnt is maxed out does not mean it is causing the whole wheel to stick out.
If all the other wheels are around a +35, and the front passenger is around a +20, that could cause the sticking out you are seeing.
Cheapest route to start with is swap the front wheels and see if the issue consists. If it does, then it is in fact suspension related.

The other possibility the tech mentioned today is that the frame is bent...too scary to think about.

Did you have it lowered at the same time the wheels were put on?

SW CT,
Have you swapped wheels yet...left to right fronts?? I would have the install of the spindle re-checked on that side. It would be a rare occasion for one of the uca/lca's being bent, if they were aftermarket then I could see it.
I would have had the tech put it on the rack anyways, but thats just me.

I dropped it when I still had the stock 20's on it, and later switched to 17's before recently putting on the 22's. I didn't notice the issue until the 22's went on, but it may have been going on beforehand. I haven't done the wheel swap yet - I have it set up for next monday, but I might be able to get it done earlier.

I find it odd that it would just now be noticeable but it is possible.

Yeah I really feel like I would have noticed this before too.
