Hey guys (and gals?) - New to the forum, long time GM truck owner. Sold my '96 K2500 Suburban back in April with ~220K on the clock. Has been in the family since '97.

The Suburbillac:

Replaced it with an '04 YXL K2500 I found in Chicago. It already had a terrible set of pitted 20s, 3 whooped Zeons and a new firestone something or other in a 275x55r20 (weird size).

I promptly removed the terrible chrome plastic mirror caps

And installed a kenwood nav, amp, sub, etc. Have put maybe 3K pulling miles on it so far, and it does great. With the JK, the heavy equipment trailer, and gear, my normal load is maybe 7500lbs.

While sitting at the body shop waiting for a new rear bumper after being rear ended, it was broken into and all of my tools, the double din nav, the amp, box and sub, and various other things were stolen. Ordered a new radio (the new dnn990...pretty cool wifi setup) sub, and amp.

Finally getting around to installing a set of helos I've had lying around taking up space, 20x9 -12. Tough finding time with the newborn at home!

and a set of 305x55R20 Toyo Open Country AT II's

Want to use the bumper from the 06-07 (classic) Sierra and do the HD chevy hood. Haven't decided whether I'll paint the whole bumpers and door trim to match, or just make the chrome black.

I'll post up pics as I update stuff. Any input is appreciated

Got the Kenwood 990 installed...those axxess harnesses are a pain in the dick. I have a ton of extra harnesses for later model GM vehicles, two of each for those that are not the same as my Yukon...let me know if anyone could use one. Apparently they make you buy them all even if you only need one.

Any of you installed a rear view camera? Suggestions for routing the AV line?

I have my AV line ran right next to the E-Brake line on the frame. I have had no problems.

Nice Trucks!

Nice, thanks for the heads up, sounds like a good idea. Will have to grab a little extra split loom

Got the tires mounted to the wheels today...wife took the Yukon out of town to a local outlet mall shopping, so I have to wait until tomorrow to try and shoehorn these things onto there...Ended up with AT3s...couldn't get the toyos for another couple weeks

Its going to be close, they're pretty big...

Very interested in hearing your thoughts on those tires. I am looking at a set for my truck.

They're a great all terrain. Very quiet, great wet and dry traction, and excellent in the snow. I ran around in 2wd power sliding through the snow in the burban...loved them.

Ran a set of 265x70R16 on the suburban, run a set of 315x70R17 on the f250. Both 10ply E rated.

Mounted...they're stuffed in there. Had to grind and bend the front bumper to just barely clear. Still scrub in the rear of the front tires a little, but shouldn't take much to get them right

Thanks guys! Love how it looks now...the plastidip will have to be temporary, because its not perfect around the edges. When I get a later model gmc bumper and the HD hood, I'll have everything painted body color
